2001 Summit The obscene tragedy that occurred in the United States on September 11 regrettably resulted in our having to postpone the Inaugural Justice Without Borders Summit. Along with The Johnson Foundation, we are now considering May 3, 4 & 5, 2002, as the new dates of the summit, at The Johnson Foundation's Wingspread complex located in Racine, Wisconsin, USA. This Summit will convene the entire International Advisory Board for the very first time. Attendance is by invitation only. Room is being reserved for the media. Media representatives will need to contact Randy Kraft. In addition, space may be available for a very limited number of people interested in observing the Summit proceedings. If interested, please contact Randy Kraft. The Summit is currently scheduled to include the following discussions: Genesis of Justice Without Borders; Common challenges and common issues facing the countries in implementing and/or operating public defender systems; Development of problem resolution options; and Identification and prioritization of Justice Without Borders missions. |
